Calf Creek Falls

Enjoy a breathtaking hike with a 126 ft waterfall at the end. With a round trip distance of 6 miles, this trail is typically not difficult as long as the heat does not make it too strenuous. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash. Don’t forget your bathing suit for a plunge at the falls!

Spooky Gulch

Named for how dark it can get in a slot, Spooky Gulch is a short hike in a slot canyon on the Hole-In-The-Rock-Road.  Being mysterious and beautiful, a highly recommended hike only twenty-six miles from Escalante. There is also an option to combine other hikes in the nearby area if you desire more.

Coyote Gulch

Recommend to be completed in two days for the full experience (overnight stay), explore awe-some red rock arches and oases as you meet up with the Escalante River. A difficult hike, get ready for a 11.5-mile hike while scrambling up some impressive rocks. For the experienced hiker, well worth it!

Burr Trail

View Waterpocket Fold, Long Canyon, Circle Cliffs, and the Henry Mountains all on the back road of the Burr Trial. This offers some of the best landscapes southern Utah has to offer all on one road. Although passenger cars are able to access it, 4WD vehicles are recommended, especially in any type of wet conditions.
