Escalante Petrified Forest State Park

Enjoy viewing dinosaur bones and petrified wood over 150 million years old dating back to the Upper Jurassic Period. Hike the Petrified Forest Trial (1mile), or try a more intense climb with the Sleeping Rainbows Trail (.75 mile). If fishing is your thing, try catching some Bluegill or Rainbow trout at the Wide Hollow Reservoir.

Capital Reef National Park

Being named because of the sandstone domes resembling the capitol building, Capitol Reef National Park became a national monument on the second of August 1937 by President Roosevelt. This park is famous for having the largest exposed monolith in the world, as well as possessing beautiful canyons, butts, and rides. Come enjoy horseback riding, hiking, and driving tours.

Bryce Canyon National Park

Enjoy scenic drives, extreme geology, and off-road hiking. If you would rather see Bryce Canyon by car instead of on foot, enjoy thirteen viewpoints in the park to get your oos and awws in. With eight distinct hiking trails, enjoy easy, medium, and difficult trails with the option to stay overnight on a hike (don’t forget your backcountry permit from the visitor centre). If looking up to the stars is your type of thing, enjoy a 7.4 magnitude sky with your eyes being able to see over 7000 stars compared to the typical 2000 you would normally see in remote locations.

Ananzi State Park

Come experience the reconstructed ruins and culture of the Ancient Puebloan people at the Coombs Village site. Being inhabited from 1160 AD to 1235 AD up to 250 people lived here at one time. Immerse yourself in the pottery and living structures of the Ananzi on the self-guided trail sure to please the whole family. (Don’t forget a picnic!)
